Let’s give a round of applause, make that– ap “PAWS” to Ruff House Rescue!
When Ruff House comes to town, tails are wagging.
Life is Sweet TV caught up with the devoted volunteers (and the precious pooches) of the Rockville Centre, NY based animal rescue organization at an adoption and fundraising event at Fido Fitness Club in Woodmere, NY.
10 furry friends were hoping to find their FUR-ever families.

Ruff House Rescue is a small but dedicated group of volunteers that rescues dogs from kill shelters, takes in strays and saves dogs from death row. Last year alone, the group saved 700 pooches, according to Ruff House Rescue President and Director, Diane Indelicato. Ruff House relies on donations to help rescue and care for the dogs.

To accomplish their mission of helping man’s best friend, Ruff House counts on some of their best friends as well– friends like Ellen Adler of Fido Fitness Club and The Barrie Inn in Woodmere. Ellen’s indoor dog park (a 4,000 square foot pooch playdate paradise), day care, training and grooming is a gift she provides to many of the dogs in need at Ruff House. She takes in dogs, trains them, facilitates adoptions and houses the dogs when the Ruff House facility is too full.

Fido Fitness Club hosted the event, along with support from Broadway Veterinary Care. This was just one of the adoption events Ruff House does throughout the year. Couldn’t make it to the event? Don’t worry.
