Maccabeats Shine Again!

It’s here:

Just in time for the Holidays! The Maccabeats Shine again! Literally. Check out the premiere of their latest song. It’s called Shine!

And it’s yet another reason to love the Maccabeats.

This is the Maccabeats’ first original song, written by the group’s director Chaim Horowitz.

The song brings awareness to The Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation. So far, the group has helped raise over $90,000 through the Miracle Match Campaign. This year, they hope to add to that with their “Make Some Miracles” campaign, where they encourage fans to run their own mini-fundraisers.

Singer Ari Lewis says the group took an emotional approach to this video.

“The idea was that music can be fun, but it can also be meaningful in bringing people together for a greater cause. Sometimes miracles come from G-d, but more often than not we need to put in our own work to make miracles happen.”

On a local note:

It’s great to see Long Island native Jeffrey Ritholtz lead off the video. Be sure to check out my video interview with Jeff from last year. We talk all things Maccabeats and go behind the scenes: from their trademark wardrobe choice, to Jeff’s expert “latke flipping” in the video “Candlelight”. We even go back to the spot where they performed one of their first public appearances.
