Congratulations to Long Island’s own Joe Giametta!
We have all FELT like we have been on a marathon Zoom session over the past year… but we’re pretty sure that Joe just broke the record! 24 hours straight!
Zoom fatigue has nothing on Joe.
Joe’s 24 hour zoom-a-thon was all for an important cause- to raise money to help find a cure for blood cancer. Joe is supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and its fundraising campaign for Man & Woman of the Year.
On Friday at 6pm Joe set out on a marathon zoom. Dressed to impress in his formal tuxedo attire (at least from the zoom box up), Joe hosted guest after special guest hour by hour. One dedicated attendee even stayed up all night in support of Joe’s mission. People dropped by and zoomed in to say hello, chat, talk sports, business, and just support Joe in his zoom marathon mission.
This cause is one that is very close to the heart for Joe– he continues to fight for a cure in memory of his beloved brother, Sal and in support of Ken Ruland’s team, “Answer for Cancer”.
In just 24 hours, the zoom-a-thon raised $2300 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
If you want to help, there’s still time. (And you don’t have to stay up all night to do it!) You can simply check out Joe’s fundraising page below. (The campaign ends on June 10th).
