It was, well… great.
I’m talking about the great challah bake known as the Challah Bake Long Island style.
It’s become an annual tradition four years running now. And this year, more than 1,000 women gathered to literally mix it up and have a ball– make that, (mixing) bowl.
If you “kneaded” a good time, this recipe was simple: take more than two thousand hands and join together to share in the tradition of making challah.
It was a collective challah making celebration and a night of spiritual inspiration with a heaping serving of fun. And if you didn’t leave covered in flour and dough, you are a much better challah chef than me. Still dusting off now…
