ROCK AND ROLL RELIEF rolls into town tonight.
It’s a fundraiser created by the Oceanside Schools PTA. According to PTA President Debbie Schneider, the schools were hit hard by the storm– among the destruction–a library, lunchroom, basketball and gaga courts and damage to the schoolhouse green.
The Oceanside community suffered tremendous damage– some families still aren’t back home, one year later.
But tonight is about more than raising funds, it’s about raising spirits— and bringing the community together to celebrate how far they’ve come TOGETHER in the past 12 months since Sandy.
A big turnout is expected including some local star power.
The Cold Spring Harbor Band– a Billie Joel Tribute band will perform.
