The NY Islanders know how to skate right into the hearts of their fans.
In a special post practice skate this week, the team gave a winning assist to visually impaired children as they took to the ice with the players for their first opportunity to skate!
Kids from the New York Institute of Special Education and Third Eye Insight, a fitness program for the blind, skated with the Islanders at the Northwell Health Ice Center at Eisenhower Park.
It was a special day on the ice. And a big win for the kids!
