Limits? What Limits? Meet Kevin Michael Connolly.

Kevin Michael ConnollyKevin Michael Connolly lives an extraordinary and sometimes outrageous life, which he ironically operates under a very sane and reasonable philosophy. “I keep it light. I take it one day at a time”.

But he’s got one problem—“I’m a habitual over-committer”.

So when the producers of his new show on Travel Channel asked him if jousting would be something he’d like to take on in season 1 of his new series “Armed and Ready”, he says he took about a half a second to think it over. Next thing you know, Kevin Michael Connolly was on a horse.

Cliff diving head first off a 40 foot ledge into the rocky and raging waters of the Pacific Ocean, scaling a 50 foot pine tree, hard lava skating… on a volcano is just another day at the office for Kevin, where he stares the impossible in the face. And laughs!

After all, there’s only ONE thing he says he’ll turn down as a challenge: “Feeding alligators and alligator wrestling. I don’t have a lot of limbs to spare. I’m a little protective”, jokes Connolly.

Connolly is a unique soul and a fearless adventurer, who just happens to have been born without legs.

He accomplishes more in one half hour episode, than many of us could dream of, let alone take on in a series of eternities.

But he’s not all Superman. He does have a few fears. Spiders? Clowns? Scaling the Empire State Building? Nope. “My fears are really normal and boring”, he admits. Connolly describes them as typical fears for a guy in his 20’s. Fears like “Where is my life going?” Existential crises. But he say he’s got a simple fix for taming his average fears: “Street luging takes your mind off that!”

In addition to living life with an exclamation point, Connolly is an acclaimed photographer, author, 2 time X Games medalist, and master of coming up with ways to conquer the seemingly impossible.

Growing up in Montana shaped who he is today. He was just an average kid, trying to keep up.

“Everyone in my family had some level of insanity they were working through or actively friends with. I have a crazy group of friends and I was always playing “keep up”. I learned how to extreme ski and hike just to keep up”.

In his Travel Channel show , “Armed and Ready” which debuts on February 26 at 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, he uses his enormous will, and endless creativity to take on amazing adventures. Luckily we get the chance to go along for the ride. All the adventure for us, with none of the life threatening risk!

I enjoyed getting to know Kevin in our brief chat. He has an energy and live out loud personality that is sure to inspire.

You can get to know him too—by tuning in to “Armed and Ready”!
