LI’s Next “Top Models”?

Minus the hairstyle (sort of), a few feet in height, (and several gazillion dollars in the bank)– I felt a lot like my favorite AGT (“America’s Got Talent”) Judge Howard Stern this past weekend…

America may have Talent, but Long Island has Looks!!

Look out LI– I’m about to report the winners of the Simon Mall Model for a Day Contest! “Life is Sweet” was excited to be a judge for the event.

As 12 aspiring models strutted down the Runway at Roosevelt Field on Saturday, my fellow judges and I went to work!

The contestants were judged on appearance, personality, and just how well they “walked the walk”.

I was really impressed! Strutting your stuff in front of a mall full of people takes guts.

On guts alone, I thought that every contestant deserved a ten.

But only one woman and one man would walk away with the title and the chance to walk the runway with the pros at the upcoming Simon Fashion Now runway show.

Among the small but impressive crowd of contestants, there was a law student, a med student, and even two brothers competing for the top spot, just to name a few.

And the winners are…

Leah Wong from East Meadow and Joseph Molinari from Franklin Square.

Will Leah and Joseph become Long Island’s next top models? Stay tuned. And check them out in the True Religion Brand Jeans segment of the Simon Fashion Now runway show on October 12th at 7:30 pm.

And since AGT needs a replacement for Sharon Osbourne next season– I’m ready! Call me, Howard.
